When exiting there are some planes parked up on the apron near the museum and also you can hear CLT tower talking to aircraft taking off which was excellent! There are many other planes to see and also some interactive things you can do which are good fun. There are several articles and explanations on what happened on that cold January day. There are many exhibits on display and obviously the US Airways plane that landed on the Hudson River in NYC! It was strange seeing this once relatively new fully operational airplane sat in a museum. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the staff who certainly have a clear passion for this museum. This was an ideal situation to actually see the plane itself. I thought it was significant as she had bought me a ‘Sully’ Experience in Coventry England for Christmas last year. We called into this museum as part of my Wife’s 40th birthday road trip.
